Partner and Executive Chef, Sunil Sharma found his culinary passion at a young age growing up in Dubai, and it was not long before his talent was noticed. In 2007 Sunil began an internship under the world-famous chef, Gordon Ramsay. While learning under the prestigious chef, Sunil developed the culinary discipline that has defined his professional life.
Chef Sunil first earned his Michelin-starred experience as the Junior Sous Chef at Aquavit (Two Michelin Stars) in New York City before accepting the position of Executive Sous Chef at The Capital Grille. In 2018, Chef Sunil left the skyline of Manhattan for San Francisco where he joined Restaurant Gary Danko (One Michelin Star) as Chef de Cuisine.
Chef Sunil refined his skills in high-end authentic French cuisine at Gary Danko before relocating to the Caribbean to accept the role of Chef de Cuisine at the renowned Oceana Restaurant & Bistro, located in the historic Frenchtown District of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
In 2022 Chef Sunil set out to bring something new to the Island of St. Thomas, and under his culinary design and leadership, St. Thomas Social was born. St. Thomas Social boasts a unique menu that is heavily influenced by Sunil’s love for true Mediterranean cuisine. With each dish he creates, Chef Sunil strives to be innovative — while staying true to his culture — in an effort to provide an unforgettable dining experience.
